Japanese participants included five guest speakers from two WHO Collaborating Centres (WHOCC), two Japan Interprofessional Working and Education Network (JIPWEN) universities, and one local public health center, 20 faculty members and four students of Gunma University, and four observers from Kumamoto University and Chiba University.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Programme <\/strong><br \/>\nKey lectures and workshops offered information on the IPE training programme at Gunma University and the Toolkit which Centre for Research and Training on Interprofessional Education at Gunma University had developed for other institutions to use as a checklist when they introduce\/improve IPE programmes in their institutions. Additional lectures covered related topics such as the present situation of IPE and CP in Asia and in the world and adaptability of Japanese IPE programmes in participants\u2019 countries\/institutions. Guest speakers were invited from the WHO Western Pacific Regional Office, JIPWEN universities, WHO Collaboration Centres in Japan, and a local public health center to provide participants with hints for the development of IPE programmes. In addition, a training course alumni from 2013 batch gave a lecture about his experiences of initiating IPE programmes in the Philippines. During the training course, participants gave three presentations about the present situation of IPE and CP in their institution, the issues to be considered for introducing\/improving IPE in their institution, and their action plan.
