Summary in brief
Gunma University Centre for Research and Training on IPE (the centre) visited WHO Kobe Centre and discussed future collaborative activities between two centers with Prof. Nozaki (Fig. 1). The meeting resulted in fruitful discussion and reached some results as follows.
WHO Branch at Gunma University (tentative)
Prof. Watanabe explained the plan to establish “WHO collaborative research laboratory in the Gunma University Initiative for Advanced Research (GIAR)”, which accepts a WHO staff or the related person as a Principal Investigator. Prof. Nozaki welcomed the plan and showed his willingness to support this program.
Possible role of the centre in research activity of WHO Kobe Centre
Prof. Nozaki mentioned that WHO Kobe Centre will strengthen further its role as a research centre. Both sides recognized the possible role of IPE in Universal Health Coverage and agreed to continue close cooperation in research activity.
