Study Visit by Health and Social Care Professionals from Vietnam
On 26 and 27 May 2026, Gunma University hosted a study visit by health and social care professionals from local government agencies, rehabilitation hospitals, psychiatric hospitals, and social welfare facilities in Vietnam.
The visit aimed to provide opportunities to learn about multidisciplinary rehabilitation, home-, community-, and facility-based care, and mental health care, with the goal of improving the quality of life of people with disabilities.
On 26 May, the delegation visited Mihara Memorial Hospital and Day Care Kirara, where they learned about rehabilitation and community-based care practices in Japan.
On 27 May, the delegation visited Maebashi City Hall, where they learned about local initiatives in health, medical care, and social welfare and exchanged views with relevant officials.
It is hoped that this exchange will contribute to the further development of disability support, community and home-based care, and interprofessional collaboration in Vietnam.
