Summary in brief
Strengthening health workforce plays an important role in achieving universal health coverage (UHC). Several Temporary Advisors discussed with WPRO/WHO staff on the basis of the “Attributes and action domains to move towards UHC” in Universal Health Coverage: Moving Towards Better Health issued by WPRO July 2015 in order to support the regional and global health workforce strategies in the context of UHC for better health action framework.
Prof. Watanabe emphasized the importance of 1.1 Regulations and regulatory environment and 1.3 Individual, family and community engagement in Attribute 1: Quality and 4.1 Government leadership and rule of law for health in Attribute 4: Accountability from viewpoints of education and patient-centered care.
