World Patient Safety Day

The Center for Interprofessional Education, Research and Training (WHO Collaborating Centre: JPN-89) works in collaboration with the World Health Organization on September 17, designated as World Patient Safety Day, to promote patient safety. Again this year, in co-sponsorship with the Gunma Medical Association, Gunma Prefecture, and Takasaki University of Health and Welfare, we held the Patient Safety Conference 2025 by inviting the Director of the Medical Safety Promotion Office, Health Policy Bureau, Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare, in alignment with World Patient Safety Day, which has been conducted since 2019. We also carried out illuminations in orange, the image color of global patient safety, with the cooperation of Maebashi City (Rinkokaku), Kusatsu Town (Kusatsu Onsen Yubatake), Jigan-in Temple in Takasaki City (Takasaki Byakue Great Kannon), and Takasaki University of Health and Welfare.
